fly a new world order in progressive rock is emerging, thanks largely to the Internet and the ability of artists to work together who may otherwise actually never get to meet in person. ... Such is the work of Raspberry Silk's Kim Novak and Milo Black, two independent artists separated geographically, but drawn together by their ability to work across those barriers via the Internet ... grounded in world fusion / progressive rock / art rock influences of the early 70's, Milo and Kim speak to a whole new audience of fans of music that does not necessarily work well on commercial radio, but indeed works well in the mp3 format for those whose tastes run to more eclectic and more worldly sounds. Drowning represents a triumph of sorts, when considering both the technology used to create it and the distances between the parties. Pro Critic Radio
fly The music for "Drowning" is haunting and emotional. The chord progression and melody are both simple and memorable. The lyric is well crafted and uses repetition to make a lasting impression. The arrangement is great, nice parts and textures. I like as the tension builds up before the drums enter. The lead vocal has lots of character and gives this track much of its identity. Technically strong and emotionally right on target. I think the arrangement really makes for much of this tracks originality. The blending of styles also contribute to its originality. There is so much to like about the lead vocalist and unique arrangement that I do believe you could attract interest from the industry. Overall a fresh blend of styles and talent. I think you're carving a unique direction. Makeastar.com (excerpt)

The beginning gave me goose bumps when the vocal first kicked in. It is very haunting and beautiful at the same time... and when the drums kick in it adds a force to be reckoned with - whew, and that guitar... all in all - a very very kewl song - another winner!!! - Jimrie (promotor for Jon Solo)
