Kim's Place ... Travel ... Fredericksburg

The USS Foote was a Fletcher class destroyer commission on December 22, 1942. Foote's stern was blown off by a torpedo during the Battle of Empress Augusta Bay (Nov. 2, 1943). She was dead in the water, but her anti-aircraft guns kept firing and knocked down at least one enemy plane. She was back in action in 1944 fighting off kamikazes of the coast of Okinawa.
