Jon Solo and Sharon Strosnider wrote this jazzy blues song and debuted it on his Happy Hour internet radio show to a very rowdy and responsive chatroom crowd. I tell ya... any song with a reference to Betty Crocker has gotta be a good one! Jon's arrangement is fantastic. Is it bluesy jazz or jazzy blues? Hmmm.... whatever it is, it's hot!

What about us
Like it really matters
You talk about trust
Right now mine is shattered
You talk about the changes
You want to put me through
What about you
And why should I care
I'm just a sloppy little recipe
Betty Crocker with some flair
And baked on high till there's nothing left of me
I've lost all consistency
But here's a new prophecy
What about me
I swear I've had it up to here
Been choking on this stuff for years
I've let my life go flying by
But now I've got a ticket to ride
I'm not gonna take it anymore
It's come down to me or you
Someone has to make a move
Whatcha gonna do
It's time to face the truth
Relationship means two
And I think I'm due
Here's your cue
I swear I've had it up to here
Been choking on this stuff for years
I've let my life go flying by
But now I've got a ticket to ride
I'm not gonna take it anymore
I have put myself together
Though you lust for cloudy weather
Got so used to disappointment
Tears were once a soothing ointment
And before you start your fussing
This is the end of discussion
I swear I've had it up to here
Been choking on this stuff for years
I've let my life go flying by
But now I've got a ticket to ride
I'm not gonna take it anymore
I'm spreading the word about the email standards project. Standards make it easier to deal.
