Red McCombs School of Business

In honor of football season starting, I thought I would feature a picture of where I went to graduate school. It wasn't called the Red McCombs School of Business when I went there. It was just the College of Business Administration and the Graduate School of Business. But then they named it after Red McCombs. What does this have to do with football? He owns the Minnesota Vikings!

The cool thing about Red McCombs is that he has such football sounding name, like Bear Bryant (although I think his real name was Paul Bryant). I remember Tom Clancy almost bought the Vikings until Red stepped up to the plate.

That's true! I'd always heard his name associated with his car dealership in San Antonio, so I always think of new cars. I didn't know that about Tom Clancy... what a trip!
