what I like about this entry is: You said the flower looked "grimey". One doesn't often hear the adjective Grimey in reference to a flower. I found it...poetic I guess. Thanks!

Hi Beth! Thanks for stopping by! I fussed over the word grimey, so I'm particularly glad you liked that I said it.

I checked the flower the next day, jimrie. It was still there, but it was a little sad looking. Not as tall and not as wide open. That's what I've been noticing about the wildflowers... they don't last very long. It somehow makes them more special, I think.
