i wonder if that's some sort of weeping cherry? we have some in our neighborhood and they look similar to that but not as purple. some broke off in this weekends snowstorm and i put the branches in water and have them here and there for decoration. i like flowers you know.

I should look up what it is. It has spindly branches poking out, but I didn't get a good picture of those.

ha yeah, it was about 6-8 inches of snow we got saturdaynight-sunday. today it's 80 degrees though. wacky southwest virginia weather.

Wow. The weather has been wacky here, but it didn't get extreme. I was afraid for the bluebonnets that started sprouting just before it got cold again, but they survived.
