i laugh whole hartedly. not at your hair or your sweatsuit, but at the pictures of wham and duran duran!
those eighties, what SUCKY music!.....ok, so i'm in subway a few days ago eating a 12 inch spicy italian on parmesan oregono and reading a book. i notice as i'm refilling my diet dr pepper yet again that the music is familiar, so i start listening to it. it's ALL eighties pop!!! and people seem to be digging it, so i listen and chuckle to myself that the further you get from something the better it seems. i finish lunch and go back to work. hours later i'm tapping on my monitor absentmindedly singing Hungry Like the Wolf... haha i laugh at myself yet again! aargh.

haha I love my sweatsuits. That's all I would wear if I could find some good ones with pockets.
I get tired of the retro music hours they have on the radio here. If I go out and drive somewhere for lunch, I feel like I'm in a time warp because all they play is 80's music. Ack!

on a late night infomercial a few weeks ago martha quinn and somebody were advertising a series of 80's hits cds. it was funny to see martha quinn, she looked about the same but her canned gestures and faux enthusiasm wore a bit thin. they made the 80's seem so COOL and NOW and HIP with bands such as Flock of Seagulls and Duran Duran and the like. it was amusing, somehow though i was NOT tempted to get out my credit card and call now!

The dude that looks like he's coming out of the wall I think is Donny Osmand. He had that late eighties "Soldier of Love" hit. (which I read he recorded in Peter Gabriel's studio).

Oh boy... I saw that Martha Quinn infomercial. I wasn't tempted to get my credit card out either.
I don't think that's Donny Osmond because I don't remember liking him except when I was a lot younger. I think it's an 80's hair band. Like Jon Bon Jovi, but I don't think it's Jon Bon Jovi.
That's cool that Donny recorded a song in Peter Gabriel's studio, though. He gets cool points for that.

Clearly that's Howard Jones coming out of the wall.

Hi Jeffe! It wouldn't surprise me if it was Howard Jones as I was a huge fan! Thanks for stopping by.
