but you see, it all dates back to the aztec and mayan civilizations so it's ok. they would make offerings to the birds so the birds would give up the feathers and this became the norm in bird-dom and so now birds still expect an offering. it's all supported by history.

in today's society, not knowing is no longer an acceptable excuse. i'm afraid you'll need to go build an alter and leave the bird an offering. contemporary alters look much like birdfeeders and/or birdbaths. the birds are very forgiving...

Oh gosh. I hope the birds will give me a reprieve until I get a house. Then I'll put up bird feeders and bird houses for them.
