The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum and the University of Texas Tower in the background. When I was a senior in high school, I went to a college night where colleges came recruiting students. I went to a session for U.T. They handed out some literature and said it was the first year that they included a picture of the tower on anything since Charles Whitman went on a shooting spree from the top of the tower. That happened in 1966. It was 16 years later that U.T. felt comfortable putting pictures of the tower in their literature again.
