Robert Redford gets sent to a military prison for marines who have been court martialed. He's a bigshot general who did something bad (although with good intentions, I think). James Gandolfini is the head of the prison. They get into a competition of sorts. Gandolfini is on a power trip, and manipulates the prisoners in ways that make conflicts. Like when he only gives them one basketball for their recreation time. That causes a fight, and someone ends up getting hurt by the guards. I'm not a bleeding heart where I think prisons should be all fun and roses, but I am opposed to people on power trips like that.
There's not a whole lot of real action until the end, but it's good action when it finally comes. I liked the movie.
