The Infiltrator

Oliver Platt plays a Jewish man who poses as a not Jewish man to get close to and expose a group of fascist Germans who are working to ethnically cleanse Germany. It's based on a true story. The group he goes after are not violent (although there is potential eventually). But the movie does show the more violent types, too. It's very upsetting. Arliss Howard plays a guy who poses as a wealthy fascist supporter. He is great as usual. I don't know what it is about him, but I really like him. I think it's the way he talks.

Oliver Platt befriends a German named Gunther who is in all aspects a really cool guy except that he's a neo-nazi. It's really weird because you can't help but like the guy, and then he opens a cabinet in his home where he has a coveted nazi uniform. I guess sometimes really cool people can be really awful at the same time.

A disturbing movie.
