Yay! Movies!

I had a big crush on Timothy Hutton in the 80s. I can't remember what movie I saw him in that started it. Maybe it was Ordinary People. Or maybe Taps. But here's the coolest part (at least to me)... I had a crush on his Dad first! Even before I knew Timothy Hutton existed! I loved the show Ellery Queen. So here I was with a crush on a much older man. Then I found out he had a son that looked a lot like him who was only 4 years older than me! Perfect!!

The Falcon and the Snowman is a good movie. I couldn't follow all the spy stuff that well. I heard the real Falcon spy guy (Christopher Boyce) was released from prison not too long ago. There's a write up about the whole story at crimelibrary.com including information about when he escaped prison and was free for 19 months.

It's an ugly story. I think the movie glamorizes it, and that's a shame. But it's still a good movie.
