Yeah, I knew the twist before I saw it too, but for a different reason. I saw it after Oscar nominations came out, and I knew Jaye Davidson was nominated for best supporting actor...oh, well. It was a great movie anyway! I'm going to have to watch it again.

ha... I guess at that point, it's hard to keep the twist a secret!

Great mind-opening stuff in this movie, and the encouragement of love without conditions. It's hard (for me anyway) to find many people who aren't freaked out by the whole idea so much that they can't see the beauty of the soul connection there. But I appreciate it, and I'm glad you do too! smile

I forgot how great this movie was when I first saw it. The only thing I really remembered about it was the twist. Unfortunately, the first time I saw it, I already knew the twist. One of Siskel and Ebert revealed it on an awards show. I was sooo pissed off. The one who didn't reveal it was unhappy that the other revealed it, too. I wish I could remember which one did it. Anyway... I admire Dill a lot. She doesn't just let Jimmy/Fergus go when things get weird. And it's a good thing... he really loves her. Shouldn't let a little weirdness get in the way of love, eh? I love when she calls Jimmy "hon," and he tells her to stop it. So she calls him "love." haha I wonder how Fergus ever got involved with the IRA in the first place. After all.. it's in his nature to be kind.

Yay! for The Crying Game.
