I loved this movie. It shows how one single small decision in life can multiply in effect over time and actually cause changes in ones life. I also like the heroic decision Evan makes in the end.

The Butterfly Effect

The butterfly effect is that theory that a butterfly can flap its wings in one place and the effect of its wings on the air can cause a catastrophic storm on the other side of the world. Or something. In this movie, it's about how the choices Ashton Kutcher's character made when he was younger effected the people around him. It's pretty good, but a little disturbing at times. I didn't care to see kids smoking and cursing and blowing things up. Kutcher's character inherited some kind of supernatural power, and he's able to go back in time and change the things he's done. Throughout the movie, he goes back in time, changes his actions, and wakes up again in the new future.

I was thinking about the butterfly effect and what we can do with the knowledge. Nothing really. Unless we can go back in time like this guy, there's nothing we can do about it. You might think that it means we should always do right, but really, it doesn't matter... doing right can cause bad things to happen elsewhere. So it's really just something to make your brain stretch.

I did like the movie okay, though.
