I loved Jerry Lewis in "The King Of Comedy," but am not much of a fan otherwise.

I have been listening to The Thermals debut album a lot recently, though, and at times their lead singer sounds eerily like Jerry Lewis (and I still love the band).

I enjoy Jerry Lewis a lot more now, but only if he seems drunk on the telethons. His movies are just not that funny to me. ?

I loved him when I was a kid. What I like about him now is how he usually plays this sweet and humble guy who ends up with the really pretty girl. Some of the humor is annoying, though. haha

I'll have to check out The Thermals. smile

Cigarettes were considered wholesome and nutritious back then ... we were supposed to notice that he was actually doing the fish a favor ...

I really have a love hate relationship with Jerry Lewis. I don't mind his silly stuff as long as it doesn't take a long time. Sometimes the gags just go on forever. It was funny that Colonel Sanders was in this movie. Just a small part, but how often do you see the Colonel in a movie?!

One character's name was Thor Galore. haha

There were some characters that I could have done without. You see... Jerry Lewis' main character looked like another character. Bad guys supposedly killed the other character. So one by one when they saw Jerry, they freaked out thinking he was the dead guy. One of them started acting like a dog. Another one's hair got spiked, and all he could do was mumble. And Charlie Callas started doing his stuttering schtick all the time.

There was one nice scene where Jerry's on a date with a pretty girl at Seaworld. The soundtrack is happy peaceful music. We're supposed to be feeling good about them having fun. Then it shows a reflection of them in a pond, and he throws his cigarette into the water. Ick. I think it was an intended effect... to break up the reflection and then move on to the next shot. But to throw a cigarette in there is just gross. Litterbug.

I loved during the credits when it thanked the filming location:

We wish to express our deepest appreciation and gratitude to the Hilton Inn and Sea World on Mission Bay, San Diego... for their untiring efforts in assisting us in completing our exteriors for this film... without their help... we would have had to go someplace else. laugh
