Yay! Movies!

This is kind of a dumb movie. But I sure enjoyed it. Arliss Howard is a policeman. His little brother gets accused of murdering a teacher. So Arliss goes undercover in the school to investigate. I loved Arliss Howard in this. Sometimes I have a crush on him, and sometimes I don't like him all that much. Depends on the character he plays. I saw him play a real creepy kidnapper in a mini-series once. Actually... I couldn't finish watching it because I didn't like him being a bad guy. He's Nick Springsteen in this movie. Of course, he'd older than the other students, so he sticks out. No one seems to really notice, though. He read this poem by e e cummings in class:

I don't remember that poem when I was in school. I never liked e e cummings poetry anyway because it's too hard to read with the funky formatting. It was cool hearing someone else read it aloud, though. And brings a bit of literary culture to this light, nutty movie.

Suzy Amis plays Miss Torrence, a teacher in whom he develops an interest. George Wendt plays the shop teacher, and Diane Ladd works in the office. They're quirky as heck.

Suzy Amis was very familiar. I was thinking she was Marg Helgenberger, but after a little IMDb research, I figured out Marg is totally different. Suzy played the girl in "Fandago." Whooot!! She also played Rose's granddaughter in Titanic. Then she married James Cameron, my favorite producer/director. Her measurements are 34A-24-34, but why would I care about that? I'm not making her a dress.
