Yeah, I never watched this one because I saw the commercials where he like gets up on the stage and starts directing the orchestra. That was really a turnoff to me, for some reason. "Look at me, I can disrupt a concert and ruin a hundred people's evening!"

I saw that movie when it was still fairly recent. Hardly remember it. I know what you mean about certain channels. I have surround sound and I have to turn it way up to hear it and that doesn't even always do it. If you have a fairly current TV, you can use the Closed Captioning feature. It's a bit of a distraction so I only use it when I have to.

Yeah, bryk... he was being disruptive. That stunt got him sent to an institution.

k-sue... I haven't seen Unfaithful yet. My sister-in-law got it on DVD, so I thought I might want to see it sometime. I'm going to watch for it.

Rob... I turn on closed-captioning on DVDs sometimes. It's awesome. I don't think any of my TVs pick up closed-captioning from cable, though. I wish they did.

Movie

Mr. Jones

Richard Gere plays a manic depressive, and Lena Olin plays a doctor who tries to help him. She falls for him. I got very anxious watching Gere. Watching his manic states were fun for a little bit, but then he'd always go too far. His downswings were agony.

Sometimes movies are so quiet that even turning the volume up all the way isn't loud enough to hear the dialogue. I don't think it's the movie necessarily, but maybe the channel. This one was like that. I had to watch it when the air conditioner wasn't running. Some of the time, I had to sit right in front of the TV. I'm considering buying some wireless headphones, but I don't want to spend the money.

I liked the movie alright. I find myself captivated by Lena Olin in everything I see her in. I love her accent.

Judge a movie by the DVD cover rating: 3 out of 5. It looks like it would be all happy love story, but it's mostly about a crazy guy and the doctor who shouldn't fall in love with him, but does anyway. Still... if you're into love stories, it'll keep you watching to see how things turn out.
