This is definatly a girl movie. Whenver I go alone to Blockbuster to rent us movies my fiance will say "Get me something I'd like." And I picked this once. I was told it was a really good (I didn't stick around to watch it).

I agree with your "Yay!". I saw this for the first time this week and loved it. I loved it when her story ended up all over the neighborhood. That's how life really is.....smile

You did good, gmd! And there's no sense watching something you don't think you'll like. smile

That's a scary part of life, Merrin! I guess sometimes you have to have pieces to pick up to get where you're going. Or something. I'm just trying to sound profound. laugh

How To Make An American Quilt

I didn't get to watch this movie in one or two sittings. I was busy doing other things, so I watched 5-10 minutes at a time. That's okay, though, because there were lots of little stories going on. Lots of flashbacks, really. Several women are working on a quilt and the theme was love, so all their stories got told. It's a good chick flick. And the quilt they made turned out beautiful. What a cool thing that the pictures they put on the quilt had real stories behind them. I liked the story of the diving lady the best. She got pregnant and then resented having to stay home with the kids while her husband went traveling doing his job. He was a geologist. I think she was just stubborn, though. I think she could have gotten someone to look after the kids and gone diving by herself sometimes. People have to find ways to take care of themselves, too.

Anyway... Yay! for How To Make An American Quilt!
