Whenever I hear about a phoenix rising from the ashes, I can't help but think of Stefano DiMeara, the ultimate soap opera villian from Days of Our Lives. (seems I was a bit of an addict many, many years ago ... ahem rolleyes). He would always seemingly get eliminated, then re-surface, in his words "like a phoenix, rising from the ashes!!!" tongue

I think Chamber was as good as the book and much better than the first movie but I am very concerned about the next one. Prisoner is very much my favorite of the five books.

Prisoner is my favorite too! It has a different director, so I'm worried about the movie as well. The trailer is out, though (www.azkaban.com), and it looks delicious! happy

I'm hoping they don't do just one movie for Goblet of Fire. There's no way they could get enough from the book into just one movie. I'd like a GOF part 1 and 2 - filmed back to back like a lot of movies are these days.

I love these movies. I want to hug Ron Weasley. What a cutie pie. My favorite character is the Phoenix. What a beautiful bird! I love how it burns up and then rises from the ashes. Snape didn't do too much in this one. He's one of my favorites, too, because you never can tell when he's being evil or good. I like to think he's better than he's made out to be. Maybe I'm exhibiting that weird trait that some women have where they like the bad boy because they think he will change and be good for them.

One thing, though... after reading the books, the movies seem like a soda that's lost a little fizz. I guess there's just not enough time in a movie to keep all the details from the book.
