Oh man, I can't tell you how much I love that movie! Oh, and if you like quirky movies, try watching "Interstate 60" sometime if you haven't already.

I picked up the VHS of this in the bargain bin a few years ago, but never watched it ... I think I'll dig it out now...

I saw I-60, wasn't too impressed, but it's always fun to watch Gary Oldman disappear into a role ...

This is one of those movies where you see the same few hours play out from the perspective of different people. I love this stuff! It's also about starting off with small troubles that spin out of control (like drug deals gone wrong). I don't love that stuff. But it's still a good movie. Ronna and Simon are grocery clerks. Simon gets Ronna to take his shift over the weekend so he can go to Vegas and get into trouble. She takes his shift and also takes on his role in scoring drugs for a couple of grocery store patrons. More trouble.

My favorite story is the one with Jay Mohr, Scott Wolf and William Fitchner. I can't say much about their story without spoiling it, but it's less about drugs and raves and violence than the other stories. It's the quirky story. Movies need more quirk.

The first time I heard about this movie was a DJ saying Len's "Steal My Sunshine" was on the Go soundtrack. That made me want to see the movie. Popular songs on soundtracks are a great way to promote a movie. Works for me.
