Does anyone know who sang "A Nightingale Sang in Barkley Square" for this movie? Is there a soundrack available? My mom was wondering.
Thanks.

I have been looking for that sound track for years, Borders Books ordered it a month ago, and just called and said they could not get it from their regular suppliers. So I am out of luck, again. If anyone finds a source, please tell me, as I will you if I find one. thanks loretta

I don't know the answer, but the name of the song is actually "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square." Some record it singing "Barkley." Hope this helps!

The song has many versions from Manhattan Transfer, Vera Lynn, Nat King Cole, and many more... I've already downloaded the version of the Manhattan Transfer and it's okay.

I would love to know who sang "A Nightingale..." I have checked out various versions but none are as good as the one on the soundtrack. Does anyone have a copy of the film and can check the credits.
Thanks

I've tried to find this version, but i'm concluding that it doesn't exist. I think that anyone could record directly from the movie and rip to mp3. That's the alternative i got.
bye, good luck to the searchers!!!!

I didn't see the movie...but I can tell you that Nat King Cole recored that song during his stellar career. Listen to Nat's recording some time....would melt a heart of stone.

I would like the name of the singer who sang " A nightingale sang in Berkeley square" at the end of the movie "Every time we say goodbye" 1986 Starring Tom Hanks

I just happened to see the end of the film today on HBO. I also love that version of "A Nightingale..." The film credits didn't have a soundtrack list, but credited the singer in that film sequence as Anat Ben-Yehoshua. Not much success googling her, although she did have some other singing credits in other movies.
