I loved this movie (even though I'm not the worlds biggest baseball fan). Its funny, when you read about them, to this day they are still referred to as the "black sox".

I thought I was going to have to abort this movie about 30 minutes in. Yawn! But then it got better. John Cusack played a great guy, Buck Weaver. I was so proud of him. He was honest, and he was cool when he was talking to the little kids. David Straithairn was in it, too, and I still think he's creepy. Dang blasted Dolores Claiborne movie ruined him for me.

This was about the 1919 White Sox who conspired to throw the World Series. It's sad that greed can ruin a fun game. Just think of all the White Sox fans who got cheated that year. And the people who bet on the Sox not knowing they had several players planning to screw the team out of a championship. Grrrrrrr.
