This was a cute movie. I really like Matthew McConaughey in it, and I really really like Jenna Elfman. This movie's about a reality TV show. Back when it came out, reality TV was just starting, so this was a little novel. They cameras followed Matthew's character, Ed, around. Ed gets really famous and then there are issues about how losing your privacy can cause problems.
At the end of the movie, the show gets cancelled and some people are sitting around discussing whether the world will remember Ed in 5 years. A lady says he won't even be remembered in 6 months. She says, "He's a macarena." What a paradox... she *remembers* the macarena, but uses it as an example of something people forgot.
This isn't much of a thinkers movie. Just one to watch and enjoy.
