I think I like Steve Buscemi...Yes, I think I do, weird and all. I like the weird ones. We don't have to mention John, do we?wink
Monica Potter...hum, I just yakked about her being the Julia Robert twin! At least, that's my call. I had no idea that Adam Duritz had a crush on her. Veddy interesting...Kim of the facts!

I wonder who first took a chance on Steve Buscemi. Gotta give that guy or lady credit.

I'm glad you liked that Monica Potter fact, P.T. For me, that was the highlight of the movie. Besides John, of course. wink

Thanks to this awesome movie (and I loved how TNT and TBS showed it all the time a month or so ago) I will never be able to listen to the song; "He's got the whole world in his hand, he's got the whole wide world in his hand..." the same ever again. Steve Buscemi is just super great in everything. He's a young Christopher Walken.

Loved this show - I agree with you all on Steve! One of our whole family's favorite actors - he is great also in Reservoir Dogs! And everywhere else I have ever seen him!

Con air is one of my favorite movies I think that the characters in the movie act very. I also think that con air is the sadest movie in the world because the father of kasey goes to jail beforer he gets a chance to meet her when he goes back home his daughter is 7 years old and his daughter met her father for the first time and she is kinda of nervous and shy because this was her first time meeting her father and looks at him like shes mad that he didn't come home earlier and it the end cameron cries because he saw his wife again and than they hug.

Con Air

Con Air at Amazon
Ah... a Jerry Bruckheimer film. For me, that signals action with a little love in the mix. This time the love is between Nicholas Cage and Monica Potter. I'll get back to Mrs. Potter in a minute. Jerry Bruckheimer loves the love themes. In Armageddon, we heard Aerosmith doing "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing." In Pearl Harbor, we heard Faith Hill doing "There You'll Be." In Con Air, the love theme is Trisha Yearwood's "How Do I Live Without You." 'kay... 'nuff of this love theme drivel.

John Cusack is great in this serious role, and there are some comic relief parts. Like when he steals this jerk guy's car. One of my favorite parts is when the car is being hauled through the air by the airplane, and then it drops down right in front of them. hehehehe

And how about that Steve Buscemi? What a twist... the most scary villianous wierdo criminal of all, and we wanna like him. Oh yeah... we like him!

Back to Mrs. Potter... I've never seen Monica Potter before (that I know of). But I've heard of her. Adam Duritz from the Counting Crows apparently had a thing for her. I don't know the story, but I know the second song on This Desert Life was written for her. It's called "Mrs. Potter's Lullaby." You wouldn't really know most of it is written for a girl. But there are a couple of lines that confirm it's about a movie star...

"Well, I know I don't know you and you're probably not what you seem
But I'd sure like to find out
So why don't you climb down off that movie screen"

Here are the rest of "Mrs. Potter's Lullaby" lyrics if you're interested.

'kay... I'm gonna give a big ol' Yay! for Con Air.
