Paul Dillon (Angelo from "The Pretender") plays a cab driver in Chicago. There's no real plot to this movie... just people getting in his cab all night. John Cusack plays a real strange passenger. Gillian Anderson is in it, too.
I don't like riding in cabs. The cab drivers are usually weird. But that might be me being paranoid. I don't like strangers, and I'm uncomfortable stuck in a car with a stranger. The last time I rode in a cab, the driver almost ran over a guy who was running a leaf blower in the street. The leaf blowing guy was an idiot blowing leaves on a busy street and not paying attention, but the cab driver wasn't paying close attention either. I was scared.
I wonder if I would have thought the cab driver in this movie was weird if I rode in his cab. I thought he seemed somewhat normal in the movie most of the time. The people who rode in the cab were for the most part the weirdos.
I chuckled a few times during the movie, and would watch it again if it came on while I was channel surfing.
Amazon.com didn't have the movie, so I posted a picture and link to the soundtrack. It has songs from Pearl Jam, Bjork and Sparklehorse. It also has a song by Hovercraft which is the band that Eddie Vedder's wife is in.
