A great movie! I just love John Cusack's persistence in this. Like when he was standing outside her window playing "In Your Eyes" on his boombox. That's one of my all time favorite songs. I have a great love affair with Seattle. I'll blog about it someday. When I get lovesick for Seattle, watching the movies Singles always helps. I love Cameron Crowe movies. There's always an emphasis on the music, and this one has an incredible soundtrack. It's all about grunge... Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Smashing Pumpkins. Yeah, baby! I knew... I soooo do not relate to any of the characters in this movie. I remember when it first came out, it was supposed to be the Breakfast Club of the twenty-somethings. The Straight Story is an odd collaboration between David Lynch and Walt Disney Pictures. It's the true story of an elderly Iowa man (Richard Farnsworth) who wants to see his ailing brother in Wisconsin. The only transportation he has is an old riding lawnmower.
