Yay! Movies!

Joel Schumacher did a great job shooting this film. Most every scene was dark. Even inside places that didn't need to be dark... like in his own home. And when they were outside during the day, it was generally cloudy. That style added to the disturbing nature of the movie. It was great how he only gave us glimpses of... [8MM continued]

I love this movie. It's a delicate subject, though... Ted Danson and Isabella Rossellini fall in love, but they're married to other people. The other people had an affair before they fell in love, though. In fact, they probably wouldn't have gotten together if their spouses hadn't had an affair. Keith Coogan plays Ted Danson's son. Julia Roberts takes a job taking care of a man with Leukemia who is going through chemotherapy. Campbell Scott is the man. He was the main guy character in Singles. Vincent D'Onofrio is in it, too. Wow... what an ensemble... Kiefer Sutherland, Julia Roberts, William Baldwin, Kevin Bacon and Oliver Platt. I like this movie. They were nuts to do what they did, but I guess it was a good way to shed some guilt. I guess. I wonder if they flatlined again after they resolved their first flatline guilt trip, if they would get another... [Flatliners continued]

When this movie started, I didn't think I was going to like it. Colin Farrell's character is an ass. He's a public relations guy who lies and plays people against each other to get his clients business. But he doesn't even treat his clients nicely. He uses the last private phone booth in New York City to call a girl... [Phone Booth continued]

I soooo do not relate to any of the characters in this movie. I remember when it first came out, it was supposed to be the Breakfast Club of the twenty-somethings. So being the biggest Breakfast Club fan of all time, I convinced myself that I liked this movie. But watching it again now, I'm not sure what I liked... [St. Elmo's Fire continued]
