Marissa Tomei is a girl who hasn't had much luck with men. Then she meets Vincent D'Onofrio. He says he's from Dubuque, but then he admits he's really from the future. He's weird and oddly charming. I saw this on one of the cable networks that edits out the bad words. In most cases, I'd prefer to hear the bad words because the editing job is usually not that great. Now here's something... John Cusack with Andrew McCarthy's hair. hah! I thought this movie was lame despite having John Cusack in it. It was really weird how the first part was mostly (trying to be) a comedy and the last part was violent action adventure. Savage Steve Holland makes great comedies. Better Off Dead and One Crazy Summer are two of my favorite movies. How I Got Into College is the same type of comedy. Same 80's style soundtrack. Same Vertigo style camera shots. Same inspirational storylines. And even some of the same actors: Curtis Armstrong, Bruce Wagner, Taylor Negron and Dan Schneider (Ricky!!). This... I didn't get to watch this movie in one or two sittings. I was busy doing other things, so I watched 5-10 minutes at a time. That's okay, though, because there were lots of little stories going on.
