Yay! Movies!=F=Family Prayers
Family Prayers - When I was over at Amazon.com grabbing the link to this movie, I saw a review that called this movie "heartwarming." I didn't come away with a warm heart feeling so much, but it's a nice movie. There's no major plot that ends in an "aha" or anything. It's more about relationships, I guess. Joe Montegna is great in it.... [Family Prayers continued]
Fandango
I've seen this a bunch of times. One of my favorite movies ever. It's best the first time because there's a twist, but it's still a great movie to watch over and over. And I love how it starts at the University of Texas. Hook 'em Horns!! Kevin Costner and some fraternity buddies (including Judd Nelson) are graduating and go... [Fandango continued]
Flatliners
Wow... what an ensemble... Kiefer Sutherland, Julia Roberts, William Baldwin, Kevin Bacon and Oliver Platt. I like this movie. They were nuts to do what they did, but I guess it was a good way to shed some guilt. I guess. I wonder if they flatlined again after they resolved their first flatline guilt trip, if they would get another... [Flatliners continued]
Freak Talks About Sex
Freak Talks About Sex - Josh Hamilton and Steve Zahn are a couple of slackers (so says the movie description). There's not really a plot... just a lot of meaningless and silly dialogue between the two and between Hamilton and other characters. It's fun to watch, though. The movie gets its name from Freak (Zahn) talking about sex. He doesn't talk about sex throughout the... [Freak Talks About Sex continued]
Full Metal Jacket
I thought that I had seen this before, but I had only seen the end. I usually like war movies like this; however, this one wasn't as rich as most. I think maybe it's because there wasn't much character development. I didn't enjoy the boot camp portion of the movie at all. It was interesting (and disturbing) to watch Vincent... [Full Metal Jacket continued]
The Falcon and The Snowman
I had a big crush on Timothy Hutton in the 80s. I can't remember what movie I saw him in that started it. Maybe it was Ordinary People. Or maybe Taps. But here's the coolest part (at least to me)... I had a crush on his Dad first! Even before I knew Timothy Hutton existed! I loved the show Ellery... [The Falcon and The Snowman continued]
The Family Man
I think fans of Nicholas Cage will like this movie. It kinda explores what makes a person happier... success in business with lots of money or not so much money but a great spouse and family. Nicholas Cage is a successful Wall Street guy who goes to sleep one night and wakes up with a family. You know... what it... [The Family Man continued]
