Yay! Movies!

The DVD cover for Bark! is misleading. It looks like it's going to be some gratuitous sex movie (not!), and it doesn't even credit Heather Morgan who plays Lucy, a lady who thinks she's a dog. That's the reason they call the movie Bark!. Lucy was normal, but stress got to be too much for her, and she starts acting... [Bark! continued]

Julia Roberts takes a job taking care of a man with Leukemia who is going through chemotherapy. Campbell Scott is the man. He was the main guy character in Singles. Vincent D'Onofrio is in it, too. I liked Dying Young. It was a tear jerker, but not as much of one as I thought. In the end, it wasn't about... [Dying Young continued]

I thought that I had seen this before, but I had only seen the end. I usually like war movies like this; however, this one wasn't as rich as most. I think maybe it's because there wasn't much character development. I didn't enjoy the boot camp portion of the movie at all. It was interesting (and disturbing) to watch Vincent... Marissa Tomei is a girl who hasn't had much luck with men. Then she meets Vincent D'Onofrio. He says he's from Dubuque, but then he admits he's really from the future. He's weird and oddly charming. The future he comes from is totally different from our world, so many things are new to him. He's also deathly afraid of dogs.... [Happy Accidents continued]

I was glad to see Vince Vaughn play a character who's not a jerk. Unfortunately, he's a better actor when he's playing a jerk. Jennifer Lopez was good. I didn't think Lopez and Vaughn had any chemistry. At the end, I think there was supposed to be some sexual tension, but I didn't feel it. I liked the movie, though.... [The Cell continued]
