The third movie in my John Cusack marathon. I probably won't watch this one again. It was written by Woody Allen and set in the 1920s (I think). A lot of the characters talked, but really didn't listen to the other characters. It grated on my nerves. Something makes me want to say that's typical of a Woody Allen movie, but I can't say it is from experience. It was a funny premise... a mobster finances a play, but only if his mistress is cast in the play. The mistress, of course, is an awful actress who ruined the play. I thought the coolest part was that her bodyguard showed another side to him besides being a thug. That added an unexpected twist at the end that I liked.
