Was he the villain in Virtuosity? I never saw it.

It's funny seeing an older movie that you saw when it first came out, and seeing somebody who's hugely famous now that you didn't realize had been in that movie?

Okay, I know that sounds confusing, so here's an example:

Last weekend we watched Clueless, and it occurred to us that the nerdy, overweight girl that Alicia Silverstone helped make over looked familiar, but we figured she just went on to be a supporting character in some sitcom. I looked her up on the IMDB ...

IT'S BRITANNY MURPHY.

Ho-lee cats. She looks so different ...

I know exactly what you're saying! Of course, I can't think of a good example of when it happened to me, but it's happened a lot! I didn't realize that was Britanny Murphy in Clueless either. haha

Breaking Up

Breaking Up at Amazon
I didn't much like this movie. It's got Russell Crowe and Salma Hayek in it, and they love each other, but can't get along. So they keep breaking up and getting back together. That's depressing as hell, and done a certain way, it could make a really heartrending movie. But there were parts to this one that were really over the top stupid. It couldn't decide if it was a serious movie or a comedy, I guess. It's funny to see Russell Crowe in these earlier films. I would never have pegged him as The Gladiator type from his earlier films, but he sure did well in that role. He was especially un-Gladiator-like in Virtuosity. I won't ever be doing an entry for that movie, because you couldn't pay me to watch it again. I really hated him in that one.

So a big notYay! for Breaking Up.
