Yay! Movies!

This is one of the few movies I've seen at the theater in the past several years, and it was well worth it! It amazes me that people can think up this stuff. It's directed by Spike Jonze. Now I hope I don't get in trouble for saying this, but for some reason I thought Spike Jonze was black. Then I looked him up on the IMDB and saw his picture. He can't get any whiter, I think. Not that it makes any difference. I think he got famous for doing music videos, like Beastie Boys "Sabotage." That's an awesome video. Now he's heavily involved in both the movie and tv series "Jackass." Blech.

Anyway... Being John Malkovich was written by Charlie Kaufman. Turns out he also wrote for Chris Elliot's TV series, "Get A Life." Funny... I was just talking to my work buddy Bruce about that show the other day, and we couldn't remember the name of it. And BLAM... it shows up in my research.

Okay... here's a bit of trivia... Captain Mirten (the guy who founded the building and made the 7.5 floor for his sweetheart "Tiny Woman" was played by Byrne Piven, father of Jeremy Piven! How cool is that?

This is an excellent movie. If you like quirky, this is the very definition of quirky. John Cusack is excellent and has a different look about him. Saying Cameron Diaz has a different look about her is an understatement!
