At Close Range is one of my favorite movies of all time, thats pretty strange considering the fact that i am only 17 years old. my brother who is 28 showed me this movie about a year and a half ago and i wasnt really into to it, it hought it was ok at the time. Now a year and a half later im in love with it.both Sean
Penn, Christopher walkin paly excellent roles, they both are such talented actors. theres only one thing i didnt understand, why did he buy the car for 5000$ and turn around and sell it for 4600$? whats he mean by dirty laundry? Can someone please email me back and tell me, thanks, its hard for alot of people to understand the greatnes in this movie, i could show it to my freinds but they would all be bored as hell with it. This is such an excellent movie!

Hi Ryan!
I think the money he bought it with was stolen (or dirty). He was working a deal where he could, in effect, trade the dirty money for clean money. It was worth the $400 loss to do that.

I like this movie, too. smile

This movie has one of my most favorite songs ever, "Live To Tell" by Madonna. I got the single back in the day and it had a karoake version on the B side, so I could sing it by myself. Woo-Hoo!! Christopher Walken is freaky as usual, but in this one he has big hair. Sean Penn's in it, too, and his brother Chris plays his brother in the movie. I always think that's cool when brothers are in movies together. Like Jeff and Beau Bridges. Or Emilio Estevez and Charlie Sheen.

Kiefer Sutherland has a small role, too. Dang... he was really young.

Anyway... it's a good movie, but it's real serious. And it's based on a true story.
