this Was A Really Cool Movie, Of Course Elijah Is Preety Much 95% of the movie was Becasue Of Elijah. I can't beleive Elijah and Franka Potente Really Dated After The movie was filmed!! Again great movie!!
I've had this movie on my TiVo for ages, and I've played it many times while doing other things. I've been a Franka Potente fan ever since I saw her in The Bourne Identity, and I've liked Elijah Wood, too (even before he was Frodo).
What kept me playing it over and over, I think, is the soundtrack. I've had a sticky note on my monitor for ages that says "Soundtrack: All I Want." No luck, though. Even searching for the alternate title of the movie, Try Seventeen, I couldn't find a soundtrack CD available. Last night, I searched for individual artists, and found a few at CD Baby. I bought Evan Olsons' "Red" which apparently has songs from a lot of TV shows and movies in addition to two from this one. john gold's "the eastside shake" is also available at iTunes, so I'll probably download a few songs there instead of buying the entire CD. IMDB has the list of songs from the movie.
The movie is cute. Wood's character, Jones Dillon, moves into a room in a big house where Potente and Mandy Moore live. A love triangle forms among Wood, Potente and Moore, and light romantic comedy ensues. Aaron Pearl is a delight as the fourth house member who befriends Wood and helps him deal with crazy furniture delivery guys and figuring out the girls. Deborah Harry even has a small role as the crazy delivery guys' mother.
