I got a few bones to pick with this movie, however much I loved it! I really did, especially the ending.

Anyhow, that Rob Schneider...I loved him in the movie, but his character was so far off the mark! In fact, you coulda fooled me if you said he was talking with a French accent because that's what it sounded like! Like a French Canadian is more the thing! Wouldn't it be funny if some French Canadian person said it sounded like he was talking Hawaiian Pidgen English?! Hahaha!laugh

If you could hear real pidgen talk, you'd notice it right off the bat!

Now you can shoot me!

I saw that is was on HBO last week, but was too busy watching football to notice it...story of my life right now.

Me: Oh, the world is ending..yes, but the playoffs are on? Can I watch armegddon during a commercial break?

Sandler and Barrymore were a good couple in The Wedding Singer. That's a great movie IMHO.

You're right, P.T. It never occurred to me he was speaking Hawaiian Pidgen English. I thought it was just Silly Rob Schneider talk!

Hi Michael! I need to watch The Wedding Singer, for sure. I love me some football, though. I miss the college kids already.

I liked that movie, too. I can't eat waffles ever again the same way, without wanting to build something...

50 First Dates

I turned on the TV to watch the Broncos play the Colts. I was hoping Jake Plummer would do well, but then TiVo hijacked the TV and changed the channel to 50 First Dates. I guess I was more in touch with my feminine side at the moment, because I let it keep playing. I was also excited to see a penguin! Not many movies have penguins! Adam Sandler plays a commitment-phobe in Hawaii who has flings with mainland visitors and then makes excuses when they ask for his phone number. Drew Barrymore plays a local girl who's lost her short term memory. Sandler falls for Barrymore despite the fact that she doesn't remember him from day to day.

It's a cute movie! I love when comedians play sensitive, sweet roles without too much over the top goofiness. Sandler's great at it! Rob Schneider does most of the stoopid stuff, but even that's not too bad.

Don't watch this movie if you haven't seen The Sixth Sense and want to see it. Barrymore spoils the plot twist!

The soundtrack is way cool, too. Way! It's a bunch of 80's songs covered by other artists. It has songs like The Cure's "Love Song" covered by 311, and Modern English's "I Melt With You" covered by Jason Mraz. Fun!

And did I mention the penguin? Yay!!
