I bought an acorn squash. I've never cooked squash before. I hope I don't screw it up. But then... what are the consequences if I do? I'll just fix something else to eat. [Food]

Friend: Hey... wanna come over this weekend? As soon as the friend mentions chocolate syrup, such a strong feeling of anger rushes over me that I want to punch a wall. Irrational, I know.
Kim: Well... I've got a lot of work to do. I don't think I'll have time. Thanks, though.
Friend: But we're going to make ice cream.
Kim: No, thanks.
Friend: Aw.. c'mon... it's homemade vanilla ice cream!
Kim: Ick. No, really, thanks... I don't like vanilla ice cream. (I purposefully *don't* say that I don't like homemade because people just · can't · understand · that.)
Friend: Ah... but we have chocolate syrup!

On the mornings that I go to work, I experience a great struggle. Do I stop at Starbucks for an Iced Venti Nonfat with Whip Mocha and a pastry? Or do I go through the Taco Cabana drive thru for two breakfast tacos and a Coke?
But I know I'll feel much better if I eat the tacos. And I love the tacos. It's just that the Mocha craving is overpowering.

I feel much better at work when I have two potato and egg tacos and a coke for breakfast than when I have a grande nonfat with whip mocha and a pastry.

My friend Dawn was asking me about Chik-Fil-A. I think they have great iced tea. You can get sweetened or unsweetened (my preference). I think it's so good because it's cold even before they pour it into the cup with ice. Very refreshing! [Food]
I made Thai food this week. It was so good... it was like a drug. And thank goodness for prepless produce. You know... where the store prepares the produce for you before you buy it. I bought a stir fry veggie package with water chestnuts, bean sprouts, bok choy, snow peas and cilantro. I also bought some Pad Thai noodles. Those are noodles made from rice... imagine that! The way you cook Pad Thai noodles is to boil the water, take it off the burner, then add the noodles and let them soak until they are... get this... firm, yet soft. That's what the instructions said... firm, yet soft. I also got some Thai seasoning sauce. Stir fried it all together with some pork. Awesome stuff!
