Yippee! Andrew Thomas and I were among the top 5 jingles voted on in the Javamusic Jingle competition! That means our jingle will be available for station managers to add to their Javamusic stations. I'm happy to be among such great artists as Professor Music, Susan Raven and Remo!!
[Food]
I made Thai food this week. It was so good... it was like a drug. And thank goodness for prepless produce. You know... where the store prepares the produce for you before you buy it. I bought a stir fry veggie package with water chestnuts, bean sprouts, bok choy, snow peas and cilantro. I also bought some Pad Thai noodles. Those are noodles made from rice... imagine that! The way you cook Pad Thai noodles is to boil the water, take it off the burner, then add the noodles and let them soak until they are... get this... firm, yet soft. That's what the instructions said... firm, yet soft. I also got some Thai seasoning sauce. Stir fried it all together with some pork. Awesome stuff!
I recorded a jingle (more like a radio spot) with Andrew Thomas for Javamusic. You can download the jingle here. Javamusic is having a contest, and the top 5 jingles will be used on JavaFM stations. My friends jeez and Professor Music/Felicia Fugue have jingles in the contest, too.

[Music]
I just bought a couple of CDs from Javamusic. Nina and Jim's "Dream" and Nina's "Dance Unlimited". Woo-Hoo!! Can't wait to get them!! Nina and Jim do some really neat songs where Jim sings an oldies type song and then Master Zap (Nina's husband) adds an electronica style backing track and then Nina sings along. And Nina does fun dance music. She has the voice of an angel. Sometimes it's the voice of a human angel and sometimes the voice of a robot angel, but whichever it is, it sounds great!

Independent Artists Coalition
"TAKE MY HAND(A BETTER WORLD)"
Here's a genuinely unique 9/11 charity track, one that was created by 22 artists in eight countries. The song's sentimental melody may not be for everybody, but its goodwill is. The ability to execute this type of project using such far-flung participants underscores the Web's value as a rapid-response medium. Woven into a cohesive whole, the song achieves a humility sadly lacking in many benefit projects and patriotic gestures. ***
